Tom Turbiville is a veteran broadcaster who has lived in Bryan/College Station since 1984. He’s been a sports writer, and media relations director for the Southwest Conference and Texas A&M and since 1990, a familiar voice as Sports Director for KAGG “Aggie 96”, WTAW and Zone 1150. His radio career also included hosting and producing “Veterans of the Valley” on KAMU-TV, where he interviewed more than 130 Military Veterans.
Tom was three times Voted by Readers of The Eagle as “Favorite Radio Personality” and won more than 30 broadcasting awards from the Texas AP Broadcasters.
Tom spent 12 seasons as the sideline reporter for the Texas A&M Football Radio Network in addition to 17 years a the radio voice of Texas A&M Women’s basketball and spent 8 years along side Dave South helping with A&M baseball play-by-play.
After retiring in 2012, Tom and his wife Judy moved to Nebraska for three years, returned in 2015 and remains and active broadcaster in retirement, doing play-by-play for Navasota High School football and basketball, Texas A&M Women’s Basketball and the Fan Zone Pre-Game Show before all A&M home football games.
